Maya & Evan’s celebration was a day to remember! After tying the knot last fall in an intimate ceremony in the breathtaking Porcupine Mountains, they knew they wanted to gather with all their loved ones for a full celebration—so this summer, they did just that.
first look/Portraits
We kicked off the day with a sweet first look by the kayak launch near Poplar Hall. Maya looked absolutely stunning, and the smile on Evan’s face when he saw her said it all. We spent some time capturing portraits along the docks and the surrounding waterfront—it was peaceful, romantic, and the perfect start to the day..

Poplar Hall was the perfect backdrop for their reception. The modern space was beautifully transformed with a mix of vibrant color. Every detail was thoughtful, stylish, and full of personality—just like Maya and Evan.
After a warm welcome from guests, dinner was served and heartfelt speeches followed, each one filled with love, laughter, and admiration for the couple. The cake was cut, and Evan and Maya shared their first dance surrounded by so much joy.

Of course, we couldn’t end the evening without sneaking away for sunset portraits. We walked to a beautiful dock nearby and wrapped up back at the venue—those golden hour shots were some of my favorites!

The dance floor came alive the moment the music started. From high-energy dancing to multiple guests being lifted into the air on chairs, the party didn’t stop. We closed out the night with a classic sparkler exit—such a perfect ending to a beautiful celebration.
