Ava & Rylee’s Rustic Farm Wedding in De Pere, WI
Ava and Rylee’s wedding day in De Pere, Wisconsin was the perfect blend of laid-back charm, deep family connection, and romantic golden-hour magic. From the very beginning, the day felt intentional and meaningful. Every moment was filled with quiet nerves, happy anticipation, and so much love.
What made this wedding especially unique was the location: Ava’s father’s farmland, which set the tone for a truly personal and rustic celebration. Hosting their wedding on family land made every moment feel intimate and grounded, surrounded by familiar faces and a place full of memories.
A Relaxed Morning on the Farm
The day began in the barn, where Ava and her girls got ready together. The atmosphere was calm and joyful. It was exactly the kind of slow, meaningful morning that allows everyone to really soak in the day. While the girls shared laughs and final touches, I snuck away to photograph the wedding details.
Flat lay detail shots included thoughtfully chosen pieces that reflected Ava and Rylee’s style, along with dresses hanging in the barn. One of my favorite backdrops for rustic wedding photography. These quiet moments are always such an important part of telling the full wedding story.
Excitement Builds as the Day Unfolds
Once the guys arrived, the energy shifted in the best way. Rylee was so excited, and we jumped right into group portraits with their side of the wedding party. The relaxed vibe continued, with lots of laughter and easy moments.
The Guys
Soon after, Ava’s mom helped her into her dress. It was such a tender, emotional moment between the two of them and a reminder of just how family-oriented this day truly was. Once Ava was ready, we moved into her portraits, capturing that mix of nervousness and excitement that makes wedding mornings so special.
The Girls
A Meaningful First Touch
Before the ceremony, Ava and Rylee chose to share a first touch instead of a first look. This moment was incredibly powerful. Without seeing each other, they held hands and shared a quiet prayer together. You could feel the nerves melt away instantly.
Being together (even for just a few minutes) completely changed the energy. It was beautiful to witness how calm and grounded they became, simply knowing the other was right there. Moments like this are why I love documentary-style wedding photography so much.
A Golden Hour Ceremony
Their ceremony took place during golden hour, and it could not have been more perfect. The warm, glowing light wrapped around the farmland, creating the most romantic atmosphere as Ava and Rylee said “I do.”
The ceremony felt intimate, emotional, and deeply connected. Everything slowed down as they stood together, surrounded by family and friends. The rustic setting paired with the soft sunset light made for truly timeless images.
Golden Hour Portraits
Immediately after the ceremony, we captured sunset wedding portraits, taking full advantage of the golden light. These portraits were romantic, natural, and full of movement. They are some of my favorite moments from the entire day.
The Bridal Party
A Night Full of Celebration
The reception was nothing short of a party. Ava and Rylee were surrounded by the people who love them most, and the dance floor stayed full all night long. From heartfelt moments to pure fun, the energy was unmatched.
It was clear that these two are meant for each other. Their connection, their laughter, and the way they celebrated together made this wedding unforgettable.
Thank You, Ava & Rylee
Ava & Rylee, thank you so much for trusting me to capture your wedding day. Photographing your wedding was such an honor, and I’m so grateful to have been part of such a meaningful celebration.
