Surprise Proposal | Alister & Katelyn
Cave Point, Door County, WI
A couple of months ago, I received an email from Alister with the sweetest plan. He was bringing his girlfriend, Katelyn, all the way from Virginia to Wisconsin for a Green Bay Packers game, and he wanted to surprise her with a proposal while they were here. He mentioned that Katelyn loves nature, so I suggested one of my favorite spots in Door County: Cave Point County Park. With its cliffs, turquoise water, and breathtaking views, it’s the perfect place for such a memorable moment.
After a few phone calls and some careful planning, the stage was set. On the big day, I blended in as a tourist taking landscape photos. When Alister got down on one knee overlooking the water, I quickly turned and captured the moment. The look on Katelyn’s face was priceless. She was completely surprised and so full of joy.
And of course, she said yes!
After the proposal, we wandered through the park to soak in the excitement and snap a few more portraits. We even made a stop at Whitefish Dunes, where the soft sand and shoreline gave us a gorgeous beach backdrop to round out their engagement photos.
This day was everything a surprise proposal should be—thoughtful, scenic, and full of love. Congratulations, Alister & Katelyn! Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness together.
