April 13, 2024 | Milwaukee, WI

As a wedding photographer, I’ve had the privilege of capturing all sorts of celebrations, but Caroline and Ryan’s wedding at Vendetta Coffee Bar in Walker’s Point, Milwaukee, was especially close to my heart—partly because I’m a huge coffee lover myself, and partly because their day was as unique and personal as it gets.

The beginning

From the moment I arrived, I could tell this wasn’t going to be your average wedding day. Caroline and Ryan had chosen to celebrate with a micro-wedding at one of their favorite coffee spots. The venue itself, with its cozy, modern vibe and the delicious scent of coffee in the air, was the perfect backdrop for their intimate ceremony.

Caroline, looking absolutely stunning, wore a short wedding dress paired with lace gloves—classy yet playful, and oh so stylish. She also wore her grandmother’s wedding ring, which was such a meaningful touch, paying tribute to family history while still embracing the fresh, modern feel of the day.

The Ceremony

The ceremony was personal and heartfelt. It was so special to see Ryan’s grandmother walk him down the aisle and Caroline’s grandfather give her away. Even more unique, Caroline’s brother officiated the ceremony, adding a beautiful personal touch that made the day feel even more intimate and connected. You could really feel the love and joy in the room.

Downtown/Fun Indoor Portraits

After the ceremony, we stayed inside Vendetta for family photos. The coffee shop’s industrial yet warm setting created the perfect backdrop. Then, we ventured outside for some downtown portraits of the couple. With Milwaukee’s cityscape as the backdrop, Caroline and Ryan looked every bit the picture-perfect couple, radiating love and excitement for the adventure ahead.

Back inside, we were greeted by espresso martinis, which was such a fun and fitting way to celebrate! Caroline and Ryan are all about the good times and shared a couple more portraits before heading to the next part of the day.

Special Dances

When it was time for the special dances, Ryan and his grandmother kicked them off. Then, Caroline and her grandfather shared a dance to Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash. There’s something about the bond between a grandparent and grandchild that just pulls at your heartstrings, and this moment was no exception.

Then it was time for the most special moment. Ryan and Caroline took to the stage for their first dance. The moment was so magical, and the love they share was palpable.

Dinner

The evening ended with a delicious Italian-style dinner, surrounded by their closest friends and family. The intimate gathering, filled with laughter, love, and great food, felt like the perfect celebration of Caroline and Ryan’s love story.

Final Thoughts

I can honestly say this was one of the most memorable weddings I’ve had the pleasure of capturing. From the personal touches to the relaxed vibe, it was a true reflection of who Caroline and Ryan are—fun, thoughtful, and filled with love.

Wishing them a lifetime of adventures and happiness together!
