The Perfect Sunset Engagement Session
I absolutely LOVE when couples opt to do their engagement photos at their wedding venue. It’s like a sneak peek into what’s to come, and it makes the wedding day feel that much more familiar and special. That’s exactly what Ricky and Izzy did! The owners of Homestead Meadows were incredibly accommodating and allowed us to roam the property, capturing sweet, carefree moments before the big day arrived.
The Wedding Day
Getting Ready: The Calm Before the "I Do’s"
The weather was gorgeous (minus a tiny rain scare, but hey, that just adds to the romance, right?). When I walked into the bridal suite, I could instantly feel the excitement. Izzy was absolutely glowing, surrounded by her best friends and family, laughing, getting ready, and soaking in every moment. The details were stunning, and the moment she slipped into her dress? Pure magic.
Meanwhile, Ricky and his groomsmen were just next door, taking a more laid-back approach. There was some serious gift-exchanging going on—including a real sword for his best man! How cool is that? When it was time, Ricky cleaned up nice in his tux, ready to meet his bride at the altar.
The Ceremony: Rain, Romance, and "I Do’s"
A little drizzle didn’t stop these two from having the most beautiful ceremony. Ricky and Izzy came prepared with plenty of umbrellas, making for some seriously romantic wedding vibes. The heartfelt vows, the love from their families, and that just married joy? Ugh, SO GOOD.

Once they sealed it with a kiss, we jumped right into family photos at the altar before exploring the venue for couple’s portraits. The rain kept coming, but Ricky and Izzy were total troopers! One of my favorite shots was right in front of the pond—the lighting, the fountain, Izzy’s stunning veil—obsessed! These two embraced every moment, proving that a little rain only makes the day more memorable.
Party Time: A Night to Remember
As soon as the reception kicked off, the energy in the room was electric. The decor was gorgeous, totally personalized to fit Ricky and Izzy’s style. After heartfelt speeches and a delicious dinner, it was time to head upstairs and get the party started.
Their first dance? Straight out of a fairy tale. You could feel the love radiating off of them. And once the dance floor opened, everyone was out there—shoutout to Ricky’s sister for absolutely killing it as the DJ!
The Grand Exit: A Sparkler Send-Off
Is there anything more magical than a sparkler exit? Didn’t think so. We sent Ricky and Izzy off in a glowing tunnel of sparklers, the perfect ending to an absolutely perfect day. And just like that, they were off to start their next adventure together!
